About Avi Tzurel

In this page you will find some information about me (Avi Tzurel) about my blog and more…

About this blog

I began this blog about a year ago, and it’s gotten quite a following. In it, I write about my passions – and I am very passionate about anything software development. I am opinionated, and base my convictions on my real development experience as well as the advice I am requested to give others: about their code, architecture or approach. My focus is rich Internet applications, both on the client side and server side and application scaling for multiple concurrent users. As an expert on flex and flash development, I am interested in how to manage the very thin line between the designer and the programmer. Other favorites of mine are Ruby on Rails, SQL Server and .net.

About Me

My name is Avi Tzurel. I’m a professional web developer from Israel. I spend most of my day developing both web products and RIA applications as well as imparting my experience onto others. I speak, teach and write about my passions, and develop applications according to what I preach.

I contribute regularly to open source projects on Github and on other open source communities, you can find me on StackOverflow, facebook, twitter and other social networks under the Alias (KensoDev)

About this blog’s name and Logo

I chose an origami crane for the logo since I am fascinated by origami’s transformation of a two-dimensional piece of paper into a three-dimensional object. “kenso” means economical and simple in Japanese; together, the origami crane and the reference to simple, economic designs, summarize my beliefs about software development.
